The Humphrey Bogart estate tweeted today actress, Lauren Bacall,  died Tuesday morning of a stroke at her home in Manhattan.

Miss Bacall known for not only her acting on stage and screen, but her striking beauty, starred in many memorable film and Broadway roles including, “The Maltese Falcon” “How to Marry a Millionaire“, “Applause”, and “Woman of the Year”.

She was 89.
