Ultraman panel, Carla Laemmle, Blacksparrow’s Monsterpalooza Charity Auction, & more at Monsterpalooza !

Saturday’s Monsterpalooza had something going on for everyone attending. Meet and greets with stars, artists, special effects and makeup demonstrations, once in a lifetime panels, vendor booths & more. There also was the special Monsterpalooza Charity Auction, presented by Fong Sam’s, Blacksparrow Auctions which had a packed audience.

First up was the once in a lifetime “Ultraman” panel, which series stars, Bin Furuya, Susumu Kurobe, and Hiroko Sakurai. It was an honor to have these three people share their stories and information from the series. They were very friendly, funny, and appreciative of fans love and respect for the show and everyone attending had a great time. EM and MPC were also on hand for the Blacksparrow Auction’s Monsterpalooza Charity Auction tonight and we shot the entire auction (re uploaded on YouTube due to technical issues) including the special and very funny opening auction comedy of the Alien Warrior Comedian.

The first lady of Universal Monsters, Carla Laemmle at 103 years young!

Actor, producer, & author, Tom Tangen was at the show representing Miss Laemmle and he shared some news with EM readers. Tom has just completed the documentary about Miss Laemmle’s life entitled, “Among the Rugged Peaks“, which is narrated by acclaimed actress, Sally Kirkland. The documentary covers the vast and amazing career of Carla and includes a rare and candid telling of her life and experiences in Hollywood and at Universal Studios. I think it’s time Universal Studios has not gotten Miss Laemmle a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star, don’t you ;)?
